From an Events and Hospitality background Courtney established a Craft Beer Bar, Restaurant and Live Music Venue in the coastal village of Sawtell in 2012. Over 5-Years he oversaw the growth of the Business – managing a Team of up to 14 Employees and supporting over 100 Independent Craft Breweries and hosting over 100 original artists and musicians from around the World.

In 2018 Courtney established Alt-Collective and has supported over 800 businesses from a broad range of industries. Alt-Collective specialises in the delivery of Peer Support Programs for Small Businesses and has delivered over 150 Business Skills workshops, and over 40 Small Business Events and Retreats.

Courtney has over 10 years of working in the Cultural and Sporting Events space overseeing major community events of up to 100,000 people and events of up to 10-days. This included the Coffs Harbour International Buskers Festival – Food and Wine Festivals – and working alongside Major International Events including the World Rally and the Australian Powerboat Championships.

Courtney is a founding member of the Australian Entrepreneurs Alliance and is currently working with Regional Development Australia on the delivery of the NSW North Coast Regional Innovation Program supporting innovative regional start-ups to scale.
