No cases of COVID-19 have been detected at any of The Business Centres offices or areas of service delivery across our regions of operation, but The Business Centre is taking further precautions to respond to this unprecedented and evolving situation.

These temporary measures will operate until 30 April 2020, subject to ongoing review.

The Business Centre will defer all face-to-face business advisory sessions, events, workshops and training courses scheduled to run from 23 March until 30 April. Workshops and courses currently underway or which will commence will be delivered and completed online.

The Business Centre’s main office at 6 Dick Street Newcastle and other sites of operation and service delivery across the region will be temporarily closed from close of business Friday, 20 March until 30 April.

All clients, stakeholders and attendees impacted by any of these impacts and changes to services or events will be contacted directly by The Business Centre. All current clients and stakeholders have been updated on these developments.

The well-being of our team, our clients and the community is our primary concern.

These new measures follow steps already taken by The Business Centre over recent weeks, including instigating social distancing policies, additional cleaning of Business Centre premises, deferring or cancelling large events and supporting Business Centre staff to work-from-home as of March 23, 2020. We will retain a skeleton staff at our 6 Dick Street Offices throughout this current period.

The Business Centre remains committed to supporting our clients across the community in this challenging environment. We have established a dedicated information channel for COVID-19 governance resources. Our online programs will be enhanced, with virtual classroom options for our accredited and non-accredited courses. Other activities of The Business Centre, our RTO and the NEIS Program continue as staff work remotely from home.

The Business Centre will continue to closely monitor the situation and issue regular updates to members.
