5 of the most investable startups pitched at an exclusive pitch evening at EY's head office in Sydney as part of Startup Xpress - a collaborative project aimed to draw attention to the exciting innovation ecosystem in the area.

Rapid PhenotypingCrave New MediaAnditiSwitchDin and Smart Corridor all presented their pitches to more than 100 investors at the Newcastle To the World pitch night under the auspices of the Business Centre’s Start House accelerator program.

CEO of The Business Centre, Pierre Malou, says this was an outstanding opportunity for extraordinary regional innovators to pitch their innovations to the world.

“The Business Centre with the generous support of EY has hosted this pitch night to showcase the amazing regional talent we know exists and to ensure that these startups are given what they need to continue on their journey of commercialisation and globalisation.

“The Newcastle To The World pitch night at EY has proven to be an invaluable opportunity for these startups to pitch their ideas and to gain support for their businesses among the investors and industry leaders in the Sydney startup community.”

Mr Malou said that earlier in the day twenty-five of the Hunter and Central Coast’s most promising startups took the journey on the ‘Startup Xpress’ a double decker bus that travelled the innovation corridor to Sydney to attend CeBIT (Australia’s largest technology and startup convention) and the EY Pitch Night.
