Narelle McClelland - General Manager

Qualified with a Bachelor Of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and holds a certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment. Narelle has been a successful business owner with a wealth of experience in business management and development. Narelle has held management positions in both private enterprise and Local Government and more recently has owned and managed businesses in both the retail and service industry. Narelle understands the challenges facing small business owners in the start up and growth of their business, and is now focused on the growth and development of the Hunter Business Centre in delivering innovative and world competitive business assistance.

Katrina Hoare - Receptionist / Accounts

Katrina has a myriad of experience in customer service and her organisation skills are second to none.  She is dedicated to assisting all clients which range from providing them with resources, making appointments, handling workshop bookings and answering general enquiries. Katrina deals with all account and billing enquiries.

Joel Kidd - Business Mentor / Trainer

Joel is a Management Consultant, Marketing Consultant and executive coach. Joel has consulted in management development and Hunman Resources Consultancy with a number of clients in the corporate and government sectors within. This consultancy provides performance management, workforce capability improvement initiatives and management development policies and programs. Qualified with a Masters in Business Administration, Graduate Diploma in Management and Graduate Certficiate in Business and holds a certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment. Joel lectures at the Hunter Institute of Technology (TAFE) and for a number of yeas with TAFE commercial consulting to local and state government and local industry in the subject areas of Marketing, Business and Management. His knowledge of personal growth and indiviual development, business education and business development provides strong foundations for the Hunter Business Centre's delivery of services to clients.

Quanita Chivers - Business Mentor/Trainer

Quanita has a love for business that matches her extensive career as an Accountant, Business Owner, Mentor and Finance Director. Quanita has a wealth of commercial exposure in a variety of Industries. She has work on numerous companies ranging from small startup businesses that launched internationally, to large multinational Blue Chip companies. As a Master Practitioner & Trainer of NLP, Quanita takes Business Mentoring to the next level.

Michael Hilsden - Business Facilitator

Michael is focused on helping to build a sustainable and vibrant business economy in the Great Lakes Region. For a number of years Michael has been involved in running, coaching and mentoring Australian companies, both large and small for the purpose of building dominance in their field. He has extensive experience in international sales and marketing, finance management along with strategic and tactical planning. His strengths are in business development, IT, competitive intelligence, powerful sales and marketing tactics. Mike is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society.

Barbara Lane - Business Advisor

Barbara has extensive knowledge and experience to bring to the role of Business Advisor. Having operated her own business providing training, business diagnostics & solution planning and implementation, branding & positioning, public relations / marketing along with event management has equipped her with the fundamental strategies and business excellence frameworks. Barbara has lectured, created and organised workshops, seminars and conferences throughout NSW on Business Practises and Public Relations Tactics and continues her work with the Hunter Business Centre. This knowledge will be shared to those seeking advice on starting up and sustaining a new business venture at our new office located in Maitland and now also in Raymond Terrace (with thanks to the Port Stephens Council).
